The name SPARC was created by some of our student leaders. It stands for Sms Porcupine Academic Readiness Camp. This free event is hosted by the staff and student leaders at Springtown Middle School as a welcome day for all incoming 7th graders. We will have lots of activities to get you acquainted with the campus, some of its staff and students, and give you a jump start on middle school stuff in general. Our goal is to help you be successful individuals as well as leaders in the SMS community.

FAQs
Are parents invited?
We LOVE our parents and you are always welcome at SMS but this is specifically for our new students. We feel that they will be more willing to participate if parents are not there for this event. We promise to take good care of them!
What if I have more than one student in 7th grade at SMS?
Please register them separately. Thank you!

This event is being coordinated by the SMS Staff. A couple of years ago, we decided that it would be fun to offer this day to welcome our new 7th grade students to Springtown Middle School. We are all very excited to meet you and want to help you in any way that we can in order to make your middle school years successful. By the end of the day you will know your way around the building and become an expert LOCKER opener! (That's always the hardest part.) You will meet new people and find new ways to use your leadership skills to make SMS even better! We look forward to working with you!
